Version 1.1 | Effective Date: 28 October 2025
These Terms govern the contract between TapSim (“we”, “us”, “our”) and any person who purchases, activates or uses an eSIM profile or related service (“you”, “your”). TapSim is a brand operated by a company registered in the United Kingdom.
By purchasing a Package, activating an eSIM, using our website, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms without limitation.
If you do not agree, you must not purchase, install, or use the Service.
These Terms are drawn up in English using the Latin alphabet. Any translation is for convenience only; in case of discrepancy, the English version prevails.
These Terms are effective from the date above and may be amended under Clause 12. The version published on tapsim.net is the binding one.
“Service” – the provision of prepaid or other data connectivity through eSIM technology on partner mobile networks.
“eSIM” – an electronic SIM profile that enables data connectivity via remote SIM provisioning.
“Package” – a prepaid or subscription data plan specifying a data allowance and validity period.
“Unlimited Plan” – a plan marketed as unlimited but which includes a defined daily or period high-speed data cap after which speeds may be reduced (“throttled”).
“Validity Period” – the number of calendar days starting from the first successful registration of the eSIM on a partner network.
“Activation Period” – 180 days from purchase within which activation must occur; after expiry, the Package is void.
“Partner Operator” – the mobile network operator providing connectivity through its infrastructure.
“User Account” – your online profile on tapsim.net for managing purchases, eSIMs, and support.
“Prohibited Use” – activities listed in Clause 4.3.
“Dispute Event” – any event giving rise to a refund or claim.
“Force Majeure Event” – as described in Clause 10.
TapSim provides data-only connectivity; voice and SMS are not included unless expressly stated. No MSISDN (phone number) is assigned.
The Service is usable in the territories listed on the product page. Coverage, speed and availability depend on the Partner Operator.
We use reasonable care to provide a reliable Service but cannot guarantee speed, latency, coverage or continuous availability. Network quality depends on local conditions, your device, and Partner Operator performance.
If you purchase an Unlimited Plan, high-speed data may be capped at the amount displayed on the product page. After the cap, speed may be reduced for the remainder of the validity period. You must not attempt to bypass or circumvent any speed limitation. We reserve the right to apply additional fair-use rules if required by our Partner Operators or regulators.
You must ensure your device is (a) unlocked and (b) compatible with eSIM technology and local frequencies. We do not refund Packages where the device is incompatible or locked, except as required by law.
You must follow all activation instructions and use the Service only for lawful personal or business data transmissions. Tethering is permitted unless we state otherwise.
You must not:
(a) resell, share or redistribute the Service to others;
(b) engage in fraud, spam, network abuse, malware distribution, or illegal activities;
(c) circumvent geographic, speed or usage restrictions;
(d) use the Service for machine-to-machine or IoT applications without written consent;
(e) interfere with network security or billing systems;
(f) violate applicable law or third-party rights.
TapSim may suspend or terminate the Service immediately for any Prohibited Use.
Keep your User Account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity through your account.
You are responsible for any taxes or fees imposed on your purchase other than TapSim’s own income taxes.
You must activate the eSIM within 180 days of purchase. Failure to do so voids the Package without refund.
The Validity Period starts upon first successful network registration of the eSIM, even if you are not aware of it.
A Package expires on the earlier of (i) the end of the Validity Period or (ii) use of all included data. Unused data does not roll over.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe in USD. We accept major credit/debit cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Prices include all taxes unless stated otherwise. All sales are final except as expressly provided in Clause 8.
If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting us at [email protected] we may suspend your Service and User Account pending resolution. If the chargeback is found unjustified, you will reimburse us for fees and costs incurred.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no express or implied warranties regarding speed, availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Our total aggregate liability arising from any Package is limited to the amount you paid for that Package.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential or punitive damages including loss of profits or data.
Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or fraud.
We are not responsible for failures or degradations caused by Partner Operators, network outages, roaming restrictions, or regulatory actions outside our control.
You may request a refund if:
(a) the eSIM fails to activate successfully due to a technical issue with the eSIM profile or our systems;
(b) a confirmed technical problem prevents the Service from working as advertised and is not caused by your device, configuration, or network conditions; or
(c) you were charged in error for a transaction you did not complete.
You must submit your refund request within 30 days of purchase through your User Account or by emailing [email protected].
Include your order number, device model, and a short description of the issue.
To process a refund, our support team may ask you to follow troubleshooting steps such as:
providing screenshots of your device settings;
resetting network settings; or
sharing basic diagnostic information.
You agree to cooperate reasonably so we can confirm the issue.
If the eSIM does not activate or cannot connect due to a verified technical fault on our side, we will issue a full refund or provide an equivalent replacement Package — at your choice.
If service interruptions are caused by a Partner Operator, we may coordinate with that operator to resolve the issue or, if unresolved, offer a partial refund based on the unused portion of your Package.
Refunds are not available for:
user error, including installation on an incompatible or locked device;
dissatisfaction with data speed or coverage in an area where the Partner Operator’s signal is available;
expired or fully used Packages;
failure to activate within the 180-day Activation Period;
misuse or violation of these Terms.
If an eSIM activates successfully and data service works as described, the Package is considered used and non-refundable. However, TapSim may still offer goodwill refunds or credits in exceptional cases at its discretion.
Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval. Currency conversion fees, if any, are borne by the User
We may suspend or terminate the Service immediately if we believe you are engaged in Prohibited Use, fraud, chargeback, abuse or law violation. No refunds are due in such cases.
You may stop using the Service at any time. No refunds or credits are given for unused data or remaining days except under Clause 8.4.
Upon termination, we delete personal data except as required for legal and tax obligations (typically 7 years).
Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, power or network failures, government actions or pandemics. The affected party will notify the other where practicable.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of London (UK) have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.
We may amend these Terms by posting an updated version on tapsim.net. Changes take effect on the date of posting unless otherwise specified. Your continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Entire Agreement – These Terms and any policy explicitly referenced constitute the entire agreement between you and TapSim.
Severability – If any clause is found invalid, the remainder remains effective.
No Waiver – Failure to enforce a right does not constitute waiver.
Assignment – You may not assign rights without our consent; we may assign to affiliates or third parties.
Contact – [email protected] for legal issues; [email protected] for customer service.
TapSim stands for clear pricing and honest communication. We publish full plan details, speed limits and validity on each product page so you always know what you’re buying. No hidden fees, no surprises. If you believe any information is unclear, contact us before purchase.
